Thank you for considering me as your Marriage Celebrant.
I love ceremony and ritual and I believe that they help to deepen relationships and create lasting connections between friends and family. Honouring your commitment to one another through marriage is a beautiful way to celebrate your love. Ceremonies come in so many flavours and there really is a perfect way for each of us to celebrate.
If you are choosing to legally marry there will be some paperwork that must be completed. Filling out the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) needs to happen at least 1 month before the ceremony date and no longer than 18 months before, this is how we ‘lodge’ your wedding.
I can get started with an electronic NOIM as soon as I receive some information from you, then we can meet up to sight the necessary documents and sign the forms.
These are the things I will require from both of you to complete the NOIM:
- Original Birth Certificate or Passport (with official translation if not in English)
- Photo ID (Drivers License or Passport)
- Original Divorce/Annulment or Death Certificate (for previous marriages if applicable)
- Your parents full names (their names at birth and their current legal names)
- Place of birth of both your parents
- Your witnesses full legal names (you require 2 witnesses over 18 years of age)
All documents must have an official English translation if they are not already in English.
You can find a translator or organise a translation by contacting NAATI
